Hiking Trails in Grey Highlands

The Bruce Trail

The Bruce Trail runs through the Beaver Valley from Grey Road 119 down to Old Baldy and as far as Hogg's Falls and looping back up towards Meaford. Many interesting places with great views including Eugenia Falls. The Beaver Valley Club offers many hikes in the area. Check out their website.

Flesherton Management Area

This trail is at the end of Highland Drive in Flesherton, near the arena. You can park your car and hike into the forest on a small path leading into the bush. You'll see varied terrain including evergreen sections with clear foot paths, small streams, meadows with cedar rail fences, long grass and old gravel pits. About a 2 km hike. Read our blog post.

Kimberley Forests

This trail is in the Beaver Valley, near Kimberley. It covers almost 1000 acres of public land. It extends north from the Beaver Valley Ski Club nearly to Talisman. More information can be found on their website.

Flesherton Hills

Flesherton Hills is located behind Macphail Memorial Elementary School and Grey Secondary School. There are trails with Beaver Ponds and streams. It's a great opportunity to see frogs and other pond life. Check out the Flesherton Hills map, and history about it.

CP Rail Trail

This multi-use trail, the former CP rail line, runs from from Dundalk to Markdale in Grey Highlands and continues up to Owen Sound. The base is gravel to larger stones in the Grey Highlands section and turns to stone dust as you get closer to Owen Sound. One of the trail entry points is in Markdale on the west side of town.
